A metropolitan skyline with hundreds of high rises, urban green spaces and well functioning public transportation, Panama City is one of the most well developed urban centers in Central America.  Famous for the Canal which has made Panama the international hub that it is, Panama City has grown in the last several years to also be a city of amazing restaurants, art, micro breweries and music.   With Panamanians growing more concerned with supporting Panama’s interior provinces and small scale producers, you see a unique mix of modern trends meeting traditional panamanian culture, “buy local” has become more than a trend here.   Businesses like Cafe Unido, a coffee roasters and chain of cafes focused on Panamanian coffees artisanally roasted and brewed; Intimo, a high end restaurant preparing seasonal products that combine traditional panamanian dishes with gourmet techniques and El Motete, a specialty grocery store focused on producer to market sourcing of everything from produce and fresh cheeses to a variety of cacao products and body care.   These are places to visit in order to get a taste of the best of what Panama has to offer.

If you are more adventure focused, Panama City, Panama tours have options for whatever kind of adventurer you may be.   Want to go deep sea fishing and eat some fresh catch?  Want to see some traditional artisan goods hand crafted in a village they are native to?  Want to hang out on a beach or go diving to check out native sea life?   Panama City and the close surrounding areas truly has it all.  So if city life isn’t your cup of chicha (the local word for juice)  then there are plenty of other options for enjoying the area.

Panama City, Panama Tours are packed with options, whether you want to walk through jungle trails of an Parque Metropolitano, go rafting down a pristine river, take a food tour to learn about Afro-Panamanian cuisine or ride a boat down the famous canal, Panama city, Panama tours cater to every kind of tourist.

Culture

Panama City is the transportation hub of all of Panama.  Inside the city there can be found people from all over the world, brought here by the canal for jobs, for leisure or for a variety of other reasons.  There are 7 indigenous groups in Panama, the most present in the city is that of the Kuna Yala, an archipelago of hundreds of islands located a few hours out of the city.  The Kunas are autonomous in their reservation, and many of the Panama City, Panama tours include visits to the Comarca, which is the spanish word for reservation.   You will notice the Kunas for their bright fabrics and beautiful jewelery around Panama City.

Keteka Difference
