What to pack...

What to pack…

Hey everyone. It’s one day before I head to South America to find more off-the-beaten-path destinations for Keteka. I’m sitting in my friend’s kitchen in Boston, listening to The Black Keys and wondering if I forgot to pack anything. I have a friend who once packed for a trip to a music festival while he was, uh, “intoxicated” and he packed one pair of pants, one tee shirt, no underwear, and a desk lamp.

I swear that’s a true story. Fortunately, I didn’t eat a bag of mushrooms before packing, so I do indeed have underwear and don’t have anything silly like a desk lamp. I do have a toaster though, cause you never know when you might need crispy toast.

I’m excited to go on this trip and put more underdeveloped communities on the map. I won’t lie – I’m excited for my own personal reasons, too – I will have the privilege of seeing a lot of fledgling tourism efforts, and a lot of beautiful communities that few foreigners have visited. Join me on this blog, and you can tell everyone you went to a place like Palpa before they were cool.
