The Sacred Valley in the Peruvian Andes is a highland area, rich in landscapes and natural beauty. More importantly as the homeland of the Incan Empire, it is very rich in pre-hispanic ancient culture and heritage.
Travelers usually visit this area along with the old Inca Capital of Cusco and the ancient city of Machu Picchu.
We highly recommend visiting this area, either on its own, or in combination with a Machu Picchu Expedition. You’ll have the opportunity to experience Inca Ruins as spectacular and noteworthy as Machu Picchu, as well as gain the chance to venture a bit more off the beaten path, visiting local rural communities, and getting a closer look at their daily life and traditions.
