Salta, “la linda” and its amazing landscapes. And tour the National Park of Los Cardones and Cachi.
Then visit wineries in Cafayate and sample the torrontés, the region’s typical grape.
And move towards Las Conchas ‘ Quebrada River and its amazing rock structures.
Explore many local landmarks such as the picturesque town of Purmamarca, situated at the foot of the renowned 7-color Hill, the Salinas Grandes and the Quebrada de Humahuaca as well as the colourful streets of the cities of Tilcara, Pucará and Humahuaca.
And visit a small rural town where you’ll find Hornaditas; where a family will invite you to take part in their daily activities, including making cheese for bread and goat.

Start Location and End Location: Salta
Day 1 Arrival to Salta
On your first day, arrive to Salta and have the evening to freely discover the city.
The guides can give you recommendations to spend an unforgettable evening; we suggest you try one of the many ”peñas” (traditional tavern) of Salta.
Day 2 From Salta to Cachi via the Cactus National Park
On your second day, head to the north-west trails, towards Cachi.
Cross the Los Cardones National Park, passing by the so-called ”Inca Trail”, the Recta Tin Tin, name given to a perfectly straight stretch of road of Route 33, which runs for 18 km through the cactus of the Los Cardones National Park.
The name of this route dates from the peak of the Inca between 1480 and 1535 and was then part of the Inca Trail that ran along the Andes from Ecuador to Argentina.
Lastly, Arrive to Cachi and discover a splendid small town of colonial inheritance, with low houses tinged with white lime.
Day 3 Andean Rural Community: Sharing and Discoveries
From Cachi, catch the famous Route 40 that runs along the Calchaquí River south to Seclantás.
From there a gravel road will take you to the town of Brealito, where you will meet an Andean rural community.
And experience a real immersion in this respectable and warm community;
As you learn about local traditions as well as participating in weaving, ceramics, viticulture, paprika and other spices.
After a lunch shared with your hosts, you will be able to walk on the hills along the irrigation channels guided by the inhabitants, to make the most of the surrounding nature with the most beautiful views.

Day 4 Trip through the Calchaquies valleys
On your fourth day, take the route 40 which continues to Molinos and Angastaco; with beautiful pepper fields and a small center that comes alive when the heat falls.
In the afternoon, arrive in the city of Cafayate famous due to its wine production and tour with an english speaking guide.
Day 5 From Cafayate to Salta
In the morning, ride towards Salta making some stops to enjoy the most breathtaking views.
And cross small charming colonial cities like Alemania.
Afterwards, enter the Quebrada of the Río de Las Conchas, and enjoy the beauty of its spectacular rock formations carved by erosion and winds;
Such as the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), El Anfiteatro (the Amphitheater), El Sapo (The Toad), El Fraile (The Monk), El Obelisco (The Obelisk) Los Castillos (The Castles). On your arrival back to Salta you are free to visit the city again.
Day 6 Salt desert and splendor of colors
Head towards San Antonio de los Cobres through the winding roads of the Northwest by the Quebrada del Toro along the old railway of the famous ”Tren a las Nubes” (train to the clouds).
After a break for lunch, take the road to discover the “Salinas Grandes”, an impressive salt desert just on the border between the regions of Salta and Jujuy.
Finally, descend by Cuesta del Lipán to observe condors and llamas while heading to Purmamarca; a picturesque village at the foot of the Seven Colors Mountain.
Day 7 Discover the Quebrada de Humahuaca and visit to a local community
Set off along the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Quebrada de Humahuaca and its small villages.
And discover the curiosities and colorful markets of each small village, including those of Tilcara, where you can also visit the Pucará archaeological site.
At lunch time, arrive to the village of Humahuaca, where you will have free time to explore the ciy on your own and have lunch.
On the way back to Purmamarca, you will visit a small rural village where you will meet a community called Hornaditas.
Where a family will invite you to participate in their daily activities, including bread making and goat cheese making.
Afterwards, head back to Purmamarca in the late afternoon.
Day 8 Return to Salta
Return to Salta with your driver by private car.
Note: depending on your flights schedule for the next day (Day 9), you could sleep this night (Day 8) in Purmamarca and be transferred to the airport the next day.
Day 9 Salta
Private transfer to Salta airport.
