Day 1 — Zip-line through Jungle Canopy
Begin your Bolivian adventures with a private transfer 4 hours from your hotel in Cochabamba to the tropics of Chapare. After dropping off your bags at the hotel, head to the first adventure of your trip — the canopy park! Here, zip-line high in the air, through the jungle canopy and across rivers. Each zip-line will take you further into the tropical jungle until you arrive at the magical Pozas pools. These natural, crystal clear pools are formed by the river and are perfect for relaxing and cooling off after a day zipping through the trees above
Day 2 — See Native Wildlife Up Close
Today, set out on an exciting adventure white water rafting on the Espiritu Santo River. Your trained and highly experienced guides will keep you safe as you paddle through the rapids downriver.
After rafting in the morning and enjoying a well-earned lunch, take the afternoon to visit La Hormiga Park and ecotourism site. Here, you’ll get a chance to see amazing native wildlife up close, and the owner of the refuge, Rolando, will teach you all about the animals and their habitat.
In the afternoon, return to your hotel where you can relax at the swimming pool or natural swimming holes in the surrounding jungle.
Day 3 — Explore Caves in Carrasco National Park
On your last day in Chapare, you’ll get to experience the region’s exceptional biodiversity with a visit to Carrasco National Park. Here, you’ll hike 2 hours through the jungle to Guacharo Cave where the blind, nocturnal Guacharo bird lives. Found only in Bolivia and Venezuela, these birds are very rare, and this unique experience is one for the bucket list!
If you’re lucky, as you walk the forest trails, you’ll get a chance to see the Cock-of-the-Rock bird and its daily mating display. Watch the males dance and show off, with the hopes of finding a mate.
In the afternoon, you’ll pack your bags and say goodbye to Chapare.
