Campos do Jordão, known as the “Brazilian Switzerland”, is an amazing town located on the
top of the hills. Around 3 hours away from São Paulo, it’s one of the highest cities in Brazil:
approximately 1.628 meters high. With German architecture style and cool climate, Campos do
Jordão attracts many tourists in the winter season when the city hosts the famous Winter
Enjoy Itapeva Peak, situated about 2000 meters high, where you can have a fantastic view
of the Paraiba Valley, the Botanic Gardens and the Pedra do Bau. Walk around the Capivari
Center and enjoy a cup of the famous hot chocolate while visiting the charming shops with local crafts.

Horto Florestal State Park
The newly renamed park has 8.3 hectares of protected area with vegetation of conifers and araucarias. It is a great option for those who want to spend the day doing something different from the traditional attractions of Capivari. Have a picnic, enjoy lakes, forests, fisheries, exercise, plant nurseries, showers, craft shops, and many trails. Its hills reach 2,007 meters in altitude.
Boa Vista Palace (Palácio Alto da Boa Vista)
In an area of almost three thousand square meters, divided into 35 rooms, the Boa Vista Palace was inaugurated in 1964 by the then Governor of the State of São Paulo, Adhemar de Barros, aiming to be the winter residence of the Governor. It is a wonder, housing some three thousand pieces of furniture, porcelains, religious pieces, silver, and paintings.
Itapeva Peak (Pico do Itapeva)
The beautiful Itapeva Peak is one of the highest peaks in Brazil. Located on 2025 meters high in the city of Pindamonhangaba. From there you can enjoy a magnificent view of the whole Paraiba Valley.
A charming vintage streetcar that takes you back in the past. The ride is very pleasant and
gives a complete overview of Campos do Jordão. The round trip lasts approximately 40
minutes, starting from the station of Vila Capivari (built in alpine style), providing a complete
overview of the city.
Cable Car (Teleférico)
One of the favorite attractions for children is the cable that rides between Capivari and the top
of the hill (Morro do Elefante). From the top of the hill (Morro do Elefante), at 1,700 meters in
altitude, the rider has a stunning panoramic view of the city.
Tourists from different places happily walk through its streets, squares, and malls, especially on
weekends. It´s the main area of Campos do Jordão, with a variety of shops, restaurants, snack
bars and more. The German architectural style dominates. The climate and environment make
people feel as if they were in Europe.
Felícia Leirner Museum (Outdoor Museum)
A collection of 85 pieces created by Felícia Leirner in bronze, white cement and granite is
distributed outdoors on a lawn along the promenades of the garden in an area shared with the
Claudio Santoro Auditorium, home of the International Winter Festival, comprising a green
area of 35 thousand square meters of extension.
