Pati valley is considered to be one of the most beautiful treks in Brazil. It is a protected area within the Chapada Diamantina National Park. Inhabited by only 13 families, it is therefore a beautiful place to observe a pristine and preserved nature. You can only access it by foot. Hiking along this valley involves walking in remote landscapes where there are no roads, and only mules to carry the load.
If you are looking for lonely places, spectacular and colorful nature in a place disconnected from the rest of the world, then the Pati Valley adventure is waiting for you. Get ready to explore its hidden beauty! You will hike on long distances every day, but around every corner you will discover something new.
Besides the amazing landscape and scenic places, you will also have the privilege to get to know the few locals living in this area. In addition to the impressive views and nature, visitors also get a direct contact with the local history and culture. You will learn about the way of life of these mountain people.
Lodging conditions will be basic: beds in ground floored dorms, cold showers, shared bathrooms, and meals taken on rough wooden tables, but these are always delicious. Nevertheless, you can expect a really warm welcome from the local people of the valley. They are always doing their best to prepare delicious food for their guests and have a comfy bed ready for you, so you can have a good rest. In addition, you also can find some beers or soft drinks in by solar-powered fridges.
