Iraquara is a municipality in the state of Bahia in the North-East region of Brazil, and lies in the center of the state, in the Chapada Diamantina. Join us on a full-day tour as we bring you to explore this region and see the many works of Mother Nature in there.
On this trip, you will visit attractions such as the cave of Fumacinha, Pratinha Farm and Pratinha Cave, as well as climb to the top of the Pai Inácio mountain.
The total distance by car and foot for this round-trip is about 140 kilometers.
Start/End Location: Lençóis, Brazil
You will start your day off at Lençóis, and after a 30-minute drive and a quick walk of 15 minutes, you will pass by the Mucugezinho river and will have the opportunity to swim and bath in a nearby waterfall called Poço do Diabo. After that, you will be driven to a rural area of Iraquara, a region of caves where you will be fascinated with the beauty of stalactites and stalagmites formed by centuries of nature work inside the cave of Fumacinha.
Lunch will be served at 13:00 pm in Casa de Farinha restaurant, with a spread of delicious regional traditional cuisine. After lunch, you will proceed to Pratinha Farm, where you can enjoy a nice bath in clear and pristine waters, or have the option to embark on adventures such as cave snorkeling in Pratinha Cave or ziplining on the river surface. You will also visit the Blue Cave, where between April and September each year, the sunlight gets into the cave and projects a beautiful reflection.
To cap off the trip, you will climb to the top of the Pai Inácio mountain to take in a panoramic view of the National Park and catching the sunset before the drive back to Lençóis city.
