Santa Teresa is a funky neighborhood, rich in culture and art, with a fun blend of European, Latin American, and African influences. This tour will take you to several of the area’s interesting destinations and give you a chance to see the historic buildings and street art that help give it its unique character. The Parque das Ruínas (Ruins Park) was the former meeting point of artists and intellectuals in Rio and has an excellent view of downtown Rio. Nearby, the Museu Chácara do Céu (literally, “Small Farm of the Sky Museum”) houses an impressive collection of art. You will also visit the Gomes Bar and taste the traditional Brazilian drink, cachaça (which is alcoholic) and codfish balls.
