Would you like to have an overall sense of the city’s landscape? Come with us and appreciate the view from the Chinese Vista. Cross Alto da Boa Vista Scenic Byway through the Tijuca National Park.
On this half-day tour, a local guide takes you to Tijuca National Park – a rainforest inside of Rio de Janeiro and one of the world’s top 2 largest urban forests. This forest is home to thousands of plant species and hundreds of species of animals, many of which are threatened by extinction. There are also about 30 waterfalls in the forest and many other beautiful sites, such as Fairy’s Lake.
You will also enjoy the views from Vista Chinesa – a lookout point under a Chinese-style pagoda that offers an incredible vista of Rio de Janeiro, including Christ the Redeemer, the ocean and the city scape. The pagoda is a monument to the Chinese immigrants who came in the early days to cultivate tea in the area.
