Enjoy this full-day Patagonia bike tour that will take you from the Milodon Cave along rocky roads and dense forests to Laguna Sofia. You’ll be surrounded by the Torres del Paine mountain range as you cycle over a variety of terrain and explore little caves along the way.
Duration: Full Day
Start/End Location: Puerto Natales
Miscellaneous: Intermediate cycling ability necessary
Start the day early in the morning by meeting your guide and getting fitted for your bike before heading by vehicle to the Milodon Cave. While guides prepare the bikes, explore the cave by foot where a prehistoric sloth and saber-tooth tiger have been found.
After exploring, hop on your bike and start pedaling towards the large stone formation known as Silla del Diablo, or “Devil’s Chair”. You’ll continue cycling until you reach the smallest cave, Cueva Chica. Venture into the cave by foot where you’ll observe incredible rock formations.
You’ll then continue cycling away from the Milodon Cave towards Torres del Paine National Park, where you’ll reach the entrance of the private estancia Repustre. Continue cycling along a two-track trail through dense forest before finally emerging to stunning views of Laguna Sofia and Cerro Benitez.
The most technical part of the day takes you through dense forests, over large roots, and around rocks before arriving at the foot of Cerro Benitez. You’ll have the opportunity to explore smaller caves with various cave paintings. Finally, you’ll return full circle at the parking lot of Milodon Cave where you will be transported back to Puerto Natales.
