Take a chairlift up to the trailhead where you’ll set out on a rigorous 4-hour hike up Mounts El Pintor and La Parva (~13,700 feet/4,100 meters). Encounter stellar landscapes of the rugged Andes just minutes from Chile’s bustling capital.

Difficulty Level: Moderate to difficult. Very high altitudes (~13,700 feet / 4,100 meters).
Begin your day with hotel pick-up in Santiago and transportation to Farellones. Take a 4×4 up to the “Las Aguilas” chair lift, where you’ll get outstanding eagle-eye views of the Andes Mountains all around you. Take the lift up to San Francisca Lagoon where your 4-hour hike on La Parva and El Pintor Mountains will begin.
Trek along the spectacular landscape — with plenty of stops for rest, water, and snacks to off-set the high altitude. Hike about 2 hours until you reach the summit of Mount La Parva at 12,000 feet (4,000 meters).
Take a break, explore, and capture photos before continuing onward to Mount El Pintor. This second leg of your hike should take about an hour, and will afford spectacular views of the mountains and of iconic Andean condors flying overhead.
