On this 6, 7, or 8-day tour, you will stop in ceremonial spots such as the Akahanga Temple, the village of Orongo and the amazing Ahu Tongarik with its 15 standing stone statues. If you wish, you will have plenty of time to go and have a swim at the relaxing and beautiful Anakena Beach. Day 1: Arrive at Rapa Nui and Have the First Glimpse of the Island
Pick up at the Mataveri Airport and transport to the hotel in Hanga Roa where you will be welcomed by friendly local staff with fruit and beverages. Depending on your arrival time you may have time to walk around town and explore Hanga Roa.
Day 2: Get to Know the Island on a Full Day Tour
On the first full day on the Island, you will visit the Akahanga Temple and the Rano Raraku Volcano quarry, where you will have a stop to have lunch. Also, you will go to Vaihu and Ahu Tongariki to contemplate the ancient stone statues that stand in there. Te Pito Kura will be another stop, a place known by its circular magnetic stones and their astonishing surrounding landscapes. At the end of this day tour, you will go to the beautiful Anakena Beach to spend some time in its clear waters. Then, you will come back to the hotel around 18:00 pm.
Day 3: Half Day Tour to Orongo, a Ceremonial Rapa Nui Village
On the third day of this package, you will visit one of the best lookout points of Hanga Roa and will contemplate the ‘Isla de Pascua’ village. Later, you will go to the cave of Ana Kai and stop by another viewpoint at the Rano Kau Volcano complex. Before going back to the hotel, you will walk through the ceremonial villages of Vinapu and Orongo and will get to know the history behind those special places.
Day 4: Visit Archeological Sites and Contemplate Moais
This day you will visit the archeological site of Puna Pau, a quarry in a small crater of the island. After that, you will stop in Ahu Akivi, a stone platform with a Moai facing towards the Ocean. This statue is highly relevant for the natives and it is linked to legendary Rapa Nui stories.
Day 5, 6, 7 and 8: Explore the Island at Your Own Pace!
You will have these days free for walking around the island on your own. You can also take one of our day or half day tours such as Scuba Diving and Horseback ride. If you are an energetic person, renting a bike for revisiting nice spots of the island is a good option for you!
