We go to North, pass at the foot of Pukara de Quitor pre inca fortress, we enter in the San Pedro River canyon, deviate from it by a track, then an end of XIXth century hand-opened cattle track, which zigzags in the cliff. The view is opening upon the Valley. We reach the top of the cliff and come back by all the border path with an wonderful and amazing view to the Salt Chain formations, San Pedro plain, Atacama Salt Flat, in front of the Andes Mountains. We go down a huge dune back Death Valley, join Death Valley beautiful canyon and come back to the village.
We north to Quitor Oasis and pass on the foot fo Pukara de Quitor pre-inca fortress. We cross to the Salt Chain and penetrate into a beautiful canyon, Death Valley, which ends by dunes. We come back by the same canyon and take to the foot of Salt Chain, in Time Valley canyon. We arrive to the open wide desert. We come back to the Village crossing almost all San Pedro main Oasis, its farming zone.
We go by Solcor Oasis and then turn the main oasis by the desert. We cross “la pampa”, sort of local savanna, with some native trees, bushes, sand, stones… a wild place in the wide desert. We arrive at Béter Village, from colonial times, eaten and destroyed by dunes. We make a pause on this peculiar site. We take our horses again and walk in Béter dunes undulations. We come back to the Village by crossing all the main Oasis, looking the native farms and cultures under the fresh native trees’ shade.
We go south by the main Oasis, place of local cultures and traditional life, under the native trees’ shade. We arrive at the end of the oasis and turn it by the desert.
We cross to the Salt Chain and take Time Valley canyon, at the foot of this chain.
We go North by Quitor oasis. We pass on the foot of Pukara de Quitor pre Inca fortress. We cross to the Salt Chain and take a small and smart canyon on its foot: Time Valley. We go out to the open wide desert and come back to San Pedro by a little bit of oasis.

We go South to cover the different « ayllus », ancient Inca organization heritage, nowadays rural communities. It is a good occasion to discover San Pedro rural zone, its fields, irrigation system, native flora and local adobe architecture.
We go to Salt Chain and enter in a small canyon at the foot of it : Time Valley. It’s like as a western film! We go out this canyon to the wide desert, in the front of main oasis and the big Andes Mountains. We come back to San Pedro passing by a little bit of oasis.
