Itinerary

Starting with a hotel pick up, you will be driven to the meeting point, where you will choose your bike and meet your friendly, local English-speaking guide. Your guide will ask you some questions about your likes and interests, so he can personalize the tour and lead you to the most interesting places to visit. Rest assured, you will get to see the best of Bogotá in a few hours on these Bogota bike tours.

You will begin by riding through the city center and roaming the vivid and enchanting neighborhood of La Candelaria. In the oldest neighborhood in the capital, you will be able to see the contrast of colorful colonial houses and vibrant urban street art. You will have the chance to see this close-up at Chorro de Quevedo, where you will make a short stop to better understand Colombia’s history.

Then, your Bogota bike tours will continue as you will keep on riding until you reach the Plaza de Bolivar. This square is the historical center of the city. Surrounding the square, you will find the most significant and prestigious administrative and governmental buildings. They have become part of the capital’s growth, its history, and the everyday life of locals. Here you will hear more about the square’s history and everything that’s going on in the present day.

Next, you will ride through Séptima Avenue, which is one of the main avenues in Bogotá, but with a pedestrian and cyclist-only section from the Plaza de Bolivar to 26th street. After that, you will go to a Tejo field where you will have the opportunity to try your hand at Colombia’s national sport. Then, you will make a stop at Parque Nacional to enjoy a refreshing salpicón prepared with a mix of tropical fruits.

You will continue the tour by going to Teusaquillo, a neighborhood that was considered one of the most modern and elegant neighborhoods in the 1930s. Its architecture is very different from the rest of the city; you will find English Victorian, art deco, and modernist houses throughout the area. There is a whole story behind this influence which you will learn as you ride through this wonderful neighborhood.

Finally, you will make a coffee stop at a local roaster. There you will experience the last part of the coffee process, roasting, and learn why Colombian coffee is world-renowned. There you will have the chance to try different coffees prepared by a specialized barista. This is also a great chance to buy export-quality Colombian coffee for the best price (at your own expense).
