Let’s walk through its cobblestone streets and the beautiful colonial houses to get to the Plaza del Comercio and later head towards to the Plaza de Bolivar. Here we will find the amazing Inquisition Palace, an amazing eighteenth-century building of the Holy Office of the Inquisition in Cartagena and a representative example of late colonial civil architecture.
We will stop for a while to have lunch before we continue our way to the Isla de Manga, where we will be able to appreciate the wonderful beautifully decorated Moorish-style architecture all over the place. Here we can visit the Fuerte del Pastelillo before we continue our path to El Cerro de la Popa, the highest point of Cartagena, where we will get an stunning view of the city from the wonderful monastery of the Augustinian monks. After you take all the pictures you want, we will descend to visit the largest military architectural structure left by the Spaniards in America: the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas.
We will end this amazing tour outside of the old city of Cartagena walking through the bay and enjoying the amazing view of Tierra Bomba Island, the Bocagrande Canal and the beach area.
