Itinerary

Begin your Medellin walking tour with hotel pick-up and transportation to downtown Medellin. You’ll begin in the city’s historic center where you’ll enjoy stunning Spanish colonial architecture and bustling downtown energy. Stroll through Berrio Park, relax in the shade of towering palm trees, and listen as local musicians play traditional “guasca” music.

Then, head to downtown Botero Plaza, and see the landmark sculpture exhibit of Colombian artist Fernando Botero. His iconic, over-sized forms evoke humor and political commentary, and are frequently copied in what’s now considered the “Boterismo” style.

After exploring the Botero sculptures, enjoy an outdoor coffee break and bask in the perfect weather in the “Land of Eternal Spring.”

From there, you’ll take a cable car to the once-notorious Santo Domingo Hill and learn how Medellin has transformed from one of the most dangerous cities in the world into a fascinating melting pot of cultures with possibly the friendliest and warmest people in the world.

End the day with transportation back to your hotel.
