Duration: 4 hours
Start/End location: Medellin, Colombia
Starting off from Pueblito Paisa, a replica of a traditional small town of Antioquia, you will have the chance to see the typical large whitewashed houses decorated with beautifully painted doors as well as a traditional church and city hall. Not only that, you will also get to enjoy an incredible view over Medellín, with Nutibara Hill being the perfect place to look over the city.
Passing by the Laureles neighborhood on the way to downtown, you will also visit Plaza Botero, right in the center of Medellín, where you will discover the unique style of Fernando Botero, a famous Colombian artist. Besides that, you will also get the chance to admire the world’s largest collection of his paintings in the adjacent Museum of Antioquia, and have a look at pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Contemporary art.
We will then walk a short distance to Berrío Square, which is considered the heart of the city for it was built way back in 1680. Located in the middle of the square you can see a statue of Pedro Justo Berrío, once governor of Antioquia and an important political figure for Medellín and Colombia. You will end the Medellin sightseeing tour at the city’s posh and popular Parque Lleras, located in the trendy Poblado neighborhood.
