Enjoy Medellin’s highlights as well as its roads less-traveled and gain a broad perspective of this outstanding city from your local, professional guide
Start your 4-hour tour of Medellin with hotel pickup to the city’s center.
Throughout the day, you’ll travel by both Metro and private car to experience the best of the city, its daily life, and its many diverse neighborhoods
Begin the day at Botero Plaza, and see the landmark sculpture exhibit of Colombian artist Fernando Botero. His iconic, over-sized forms evoke humor and political commentary, and are frequently copied in what’s now considered the “Boterismo” style.
Next, get your feet wet in Barefoot and Wishes Parks. Testimonies to the city’s dedication to public works and community engagement, these interactive spaces encourage exploration and discovery. Listen to the fountains and flowing water, soothe your feet in the warm sand, or grab a snack at the farmer’s market!
Later, explore the Medellin Botanical Garden, stroll beneath its stunning, honey-comb architecture, and see the thousands of plant species that live and thrive in the beautiful city garden.
After exploring the gardens, your local guide will take you on a trip to the top of Nutibarra Hill, where you‘ll step back in time in Pueblito Paiza Park. Built in the 1970s in large part from materials rescued from old demolished buildings, this tiny town center evokes Medellin’s colonial past. Enjoy the stone fountain and town square, and admire the park’s sculptures. Be sure to find the statue of Chief Nutibarra, the park’s namesake.
End the day with a return trip to your hotel, and a new sense of Medellin’s rich social and cultural fabric!
