A large population of crocodiles and an impressive diversity of birds (about 400 species) amazes travelers from all over the world. There are 2 possible trails to explore each of them about 2 miles length. During your hike, the nature guide will stop to point out colorful birds and give explanations about the different things you see along the way.
Half way through the hike you will take a 20 minutes stop to rest and admire the splendid scenery. One of the incredible highlights of the Carara national Park tour is the opportunity to see Scarlet Macaws flying around you. After exploring the park you will visit the Tarcoles bridge where you can observe the largest crocodile population of Costa Rica. This is a great time to get some snapshots to remember, so don’t forget to bring your camera. Once the tour is over, you will return to base camp where a tasty homemade lunch awaits you.
