On this Costa Rica Whale Watching and Dolphin Tour you will:
Experience the ancient annual ritual of Pilot and Humpback whales as they journey to complete their mating process in the vast pacific. The boat ride will take you off the coast of Costa Rica, through Ballena Marine National Park, near the city of Uvita. There are many sightings of whales, dolphins, and other marine life in this area. And you will also boat past natural wonders like Whale Rock, the Caverns of ‘Window Beach,’ and an amazing rock display rising out of the sea. Your knowledgeable English speaking guide will explain everything you need to know about the area. And you are in safe hands on the boat with your certified captain.
8:30 am – 12:30 pm.
You start your trip near the channel the whales use for migration, where you will spot Pilot and Humpback whales. Often Bottlenose dolphins will follow the boat, eager to play and engage. Your boat will move along the coast of Ballena National Park to view natural wonders such as the spectacular Playa Ventanas or ‘Window Beach,’ named after the thousands of windows through the rocks from the ocean to the shore. You will also get the opportunity to snorkel some coral reefs if the conditions permit.
