At night, the cloud forest completely changes. From bats to frogs, there is a huge variety of wildlife that only comes out at night, to hunt, to find mates, to move to a new spot in the Reserve. Your bilingual naturalist guide will help you spot many different species and explain the difference in the ecosystem between day and night.
The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is home to over 500 species of birds, over 2,500 species of plants, 100 species of mammals, and 120 species of reptiles and amphibians. This includes the densest concentration of orchid species in the world!
