You begin at 5 am, headed for Peñas Blancas, where you will cross the border into Nicaragua. As soon as you cross, you will enjoy a delicious Nicaraguan breakfast at a restaurant on the shore of Lake Nicaragua. From there, you will continue to the small, picturesque town of Catarina, which is famous for its flowers, pottery, and incredible views of the Apoyo Lagoon. After some time at Apoyo, you will head to the Masaya Volcano and climb right to the top! From there, you will get a look a the crater. Once you get down, you will visit the Masaya Handicraft Market, which has some of the country’s best artisanal art. After you have sufficiently shopped and browsed, you will go to the oldest city in Latin America – Granada. This colonial city is known for its colors, old buildings, and romantic ambiance. Here, you will get lunch in Zaguan, a restaurant famous for having the best beef in the area. The last destination on the tour is a boat ride, from which you’ll have a chance to see some of the 365 little islands, as well as a huge range of flora and fauna, including monkeys!
