Climb inside the kayak for a one of a kind experience and unique views of the coastline. On a deserted bay you can enjoy a snack and take the chance to swim and snorkel, discovering the underwater world, and possibly starfish and parrotfish, if water is clear. You’ll return paddling towards the pier, and marvel at the marine birds and their nesting grounds. A homemade meal will end this tour that will stay with you long afterwards.
This Manuel Antonio tour is ideal for anyone who would like to get a bit wet and witness nature in its most surprising forms. Round trip transportation is included and you will be picked up at your hotel. Soon you’ll arrive to the Quepos’s pier, where you can already sense the adventure. You will paddle a kayak for about 2 ½ hours, observing details of the islands you’ll navigate past, paddle past fascinating rock formations and notice the many marine birds in their habitat. Midway, you will pause at a peaceful hidden bay – Biesanz Bay – to relax and taste a delicious snack.
You’ll have about 30 minute to jump into the water and snorkel on this unspoiled coastline or just enjoy moments of rest. Depending on season, water may allow you to spot parrotfish, starfish, angelfish and who knows, maybe a sea turtle! Whether you are an experienced kayaker of not, the ocean will have many gifts for you, including pelicans or flying fish. Upon returning to the pier, you’ll visit the base camp where you’ll delight in a tasty homemade meal and have the chance to exchange some thoughts. At the end of the tour you’ll probably feel happy.
