Experience Costa Rica in a unique way by joining a local family in a trek through the jungles of Osa Peninsula and learn about the old gold-panning ways in this once highly visited gold-mine!
Immerse yourself into something unique by going on this Tour of Gold!
You will be taken up the mountains of the beautiful Osa Peninsula to an ex-gold village where many visitors came to pan for gold known as La Tarde (The Evening Village).
Meet up with a local and his family to enjoy a deliciously prepared Costa Rican meal and then trek through the jungle and be inspired by all the surrounding wildlife and dense forest vegetation. You will be guided through indigenous grounds, rivers, waterfalls and experience how the old panners panned for gold!
Return to the local home and end your tour with a traditionally cooked Costa Rican meal over a wood-stove and then return to your pick-up point.
(Many travelers stay in Danta Corcovado Lodge.)
