This half day tour of a vanilla spice plantation will introduce you to the tastes, aromas, and growing practices of a variety of delicious and useful crops, including:
The day begins in the warehouse, where spices are dried, processed, and packaged after being harvested. You then walk the “Epiphyte Trail” and wind your way through the plantation. The walk includes passing a fish pond and stopping at a lookout to enjoy some amazing views. After the walk comes the “Flavors of the World Tasting,” where an in-house pastry chef prepares a variety of drinks and gourmet spice treats for you to try! Everything you taste is fresh from the farm and made from scratch.
The plantation includes 27 acres of agricultural production and 125 acres of primary and secondary rainforest and overlooks Manuel Antonio National Park.
