Discover Ecuador Culture through a Healing Ceremony

The ceremony with Wachuma (San Pedro) is a sacred space where you will find personal empowerment and healing of all your body: physically, emotionally and spiritually. The Sacred Wachuma plant has the wisdom and power to help us recover our fullness by reconnecting with our inner power. This Ceremony is guided by Yachaks who have much experience in the field of healing and will help you to travel the path to your interior.

Day 1: The beginning of your journey to the depths of Ecuador culture

The trip will start at 7:45 am where the meeting will be held. During this meeting, you will meet the Yachak who plays an important role in traditional Ecuador culture. Then, you will be given a bracelet as a souvenir of the adventure you are starting. After this, you will continue to a rural restaurant for Andean Breakfast. When you have finished your breakfast, you will review your luggage with the team to ensure that you have everything required to start the trip. You will finally go to the community of San Clemente in Imbabura for the accommodation. Then, you will walk to the first point accompanied by an Andean melody.

Then, the presentation of the assistants, an explanation of the fasting and the general preparation for the opening of the ceremonies will be carried out.

You will also have clean energy to balance the energies with the Tobacco.

To begin your journey with the help of the sacred plant, you will take the first amount of Wachuma UKU PACHA before starting the walk to the second point always accompanied by the Andean melody. Once you have reached the second point KAY PACHA, you will take the second amount of Wachuma before walking to the third point HANAN PACHA.

Once the road is over, there will be a time of introspection for each of the participants voluntarily. You will enjoy a pamba mesa before returning to the second point and then to the first point accompanied by Andean melodies. Once you have reached the first point, you will share the experience voluntarily and make the Closing Ceremony of day 1.

Day 2: Wachuma 

After breakfast, you will get ready to visit the next point of the ceremony and move to the Mojanda Lagoons where you will have time to accommodate all your belongings before starting the first walk. Before starting, you will take the same amount of Wachuma as the first day and at each point until reaching the final point.

** Night in Cabañas de las Lagunas de Mojanda Meals: B / L / D

Day 3: The Closing ceremony

After breakfast, you will enjoy a tour in Otavalo before eating an Andean Lunch. Then, in the afternoon, you will go to the heart of the presentation and delivery of offering to the Apus. You will also follow the reading of the coca leaves and the Intiraymi dance and finally, say goodbye. You will be left with a scarf of remembrance of this ceremony of empowerment. Then, you will continue to the City and Otavalo and return to Quito.

Eventually, you will share a pamba mesa and then continue with the circle to share the experience of this day. Last but not least, there will be a closing ceremony before going back to the hostel for dinner.
