Our indigenous people of Ecuador tour will start at 9:00 a.m. with a welcome into the small cottage of a local named cottage Samana Wasi Kañarishungo. You will then be taken to have a traditional toast with cinnamon that is known to be symbol of welcome and friendship.
After being introduced to the community you will then be served a typical breakfast by trying out the famous ‘mote pata’, ‘casado’ and a traditional tea!
After eating breakfast, we will then be shown the natural viewpoints, trails with ancestral medicinal plants, and each plants medicinal properties by a local guide.
Later on, we will arrive at the sacred place, or natural temple, where the Pachamama ceremonies take place. The area is unique due to its clean energy that harnesses the medicinal healing power of plants as well as spiritual. You can immediately feel the natural power of the area as stress floats away and healing begins.
We will then reach the Inca Trail, a mythical and historical road with a beautiful array of natural colors that is characterized by its tranquility. We will then take part in a Pampa Table, which is done in a sacred place. Next we will enjoy the music of the Kikintakina community musical group that derives inspiration from both Spanish and Quichua and the presentation of a traditional dance preformed by women of the community. Then we will dance the first half of our tour away!
Continuing on, we will have another presentation on wind and ceremonial instruments, such as the rucuflauta, wawaflauta, rucopingullo, and chirimia. We will then have the opportunity to view a traditional drawing of musical instruments on enchanted pots. You will also have the chance to take these home as souvenirs for loved ones!
We will continue our journey with a trip to a local stone mill where we can observe and participate in the development of the delicious natural flavors. Afterwards, we will watch a demonstration of sheep wool being processed into yarn.
