Your day trip from Quito starts in the morning, where you will be picked up at your hotel.
You will head to the famous Quitsato solar watch where you will be at latitude 00°00’00”.
Then your next destination is Otavalo, a market full of color and life.
Which is considered one of the most famous indigenous markets in the world as well as the biggest in South America.
There you can have a stroll in“Plaza de Ponchos” and shop for textiles and handicrafts.
Though the market is at its peak on Saturday, you will find a great variety of fabrics and crafts any day of the week.
After visiting the town and market you will spend time with a family of weavers;
which have been weaving original designs, for over four generations, that are only available at their house and gallery.
Your journey ends at Cotachi, where you will visit this quaint town and find the finest leather artisans.
