Famous in South America for hosting a wide variety of artisan work made by the indigenous people of Ecuador, the Saturday market of Otavalo attracts hordes of locals to its doors.
On this tour you will be able to walk around with a local guide from Quito and explore from the beginning to the end of the beautifully colorful Otavalo market. You will walk along narrow cobblestone streets filled with artisan work from the native indigenous peoples of Ecuador and browse through the beautifully crafted ponchos, trousers, haircrafts, hand crafts, jewelry, textiles and ceramics!
In addition to visiting the culturally vibrant Otavalo market, you will be able to travel to Cotacachi which is also famous for it’s leather artisan work and enjoy a traditionally made lunch in the area.
End your tour with a visit to a small village named Peguche and return to Quito in the late afternoon!
