DAY 1 – Reach Magdalena Bay and Meet the Whales
Your Baja California whale watching tour begins with early morning pick-up in La Paz and transfer to Magdalena Bay. Home and migratory site to an astounding population of marine birds, sea turtles, whales, and other marine animals, Magdalena Bay is considered the “Jewel of the Pacific” for its abundant natural treasures.
Enjoy lunch before heading out on the water with your guide in search of the Gray Whales. In the evening, you’ll return to your quiet camp for dinner and a good night’s rest under starry skies.
DAY 2 – Observe Gray Whales and Explore Magdalena Bay
After breakfast, head to the bay to observe the whales. En route, your naturalist guide will brief you on the spectacular yearly migration of the gray whales, from the Bering Sea all the way to Mexico’s Pacific coast. Out on the water, you may have the opportunity to get close to the whales, and encounter these gentle giants up close.
In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to relax at camp or explore the protected coast line. After dinner, enjoy free time under the stars
DAY 3 – Say Goodbye to Magdalena Bay
In the morning wake up to enjoy a spectacular sunrise one more time. Enjoy breakfast, then say goodbye to your eco-camp hosts before setting out for one last day on the water. Marvel at the Pacific’s magnificent giants and snap a few final photos. Dock at a scenic, secluded barrier island for a picnic lunch.
