Come join us for an unforgettable adventure on this Cenote Diving Tour! Cenote comes from the Mayan word d’zonot which translates to “sacred well”. Cenotes are unique to this part of the world and were considered sacred by the Mayans because they represented a window to the underworld.
You will explore the cave and cavern system where you will see stalactites and stalagmites, calcium carbonate deposits resembling icicles from thousands of years ago. The underwater adventure will let you see marine fossils within an ancient coral reef. You will also get to visit freshwater underground rivers that the Mayans highly respected when they inhabited the Peninsula.
A fully certified guide will take you through two different cenotes chosen according to your diving skills. Your guide will provide insight about the cenote’s unique features and make sure you have a safe and fun journey through the cave.
