Day 1 – Visit Incredible Waterfalls
Begin your Ecotourism in Mexico adventure with a visit to the most amazing waterfalls of the region: Minas Viejas. This is a 164-foot (50-meter) waterfall with beautiful blue water, surrounded by rainforest. Next, you will go to a 115-foot (35-meter) limestone waterfall called El Meco. Near El Meco, you will find El Salto Waterfall, which measures an impressive 230 feet (70 meters) tall. Later, you will visit El Toro Waterfall, a 66-foot (20-meter) fall surrounded by the amazing Mexican rainforest.
Day 2 – Explore the Garden of Edward James and the Huahuas Cave
Today, discover a very special and relaxing place: the surreal garden of Edward James. This place has beautiful concrete structures placed in a labyrinth path that reflect the idealistic and dream-like imagination of their creator as they integrate with nature. After this, you will visit the town of Xilitla to have a typical delicious meal. Then, you will end your day going through the Huahuas cave, a stunning 230-foot-high (70-meter-high) and 1,568-foot-deep (478-meter-deep) cave where birds take refuge. You will observe the wonderful sunset surrounded by wonderful flora and fauna.
Day 3 – Canoe Upstream to an Amazing Cave and Find Tamul Waterfall
Your Ecotourism in Mexico adventure continues as you board a “pangas”, a large canoe, to paddle upstream to the 4th canyon of Santa Maria. Here, you will find an amazing warm cave with clear water. You will be able to swim in this relaxing and quiet place. Later, you will head upstream to Tamul Waterfall, a spectacular 344-foot-tall (105-meter-tall) waterfall born from the Gallanas River.
Day 4 – Explore Bridge of the Gods Cave and Swim at Tamasopo Waterfalls
Today on your Ecotourism in Mexico Package, have fun exploring the Bridge of the Gods, a marvelous rocky cave where the sunlight creates unique light effects on the beautiful blue water. Witness the marvelous and precious stalactites and stalagmites on the walls! After the Bridge of the Gods, you will go to Tamasopo Waterfalls. Deep in the rainforest, you can find these three wonderful waterfalls. Jump, swim, and enjoy!
Day 5 – Visit the Archaeological Site of Tamtok and Relax in the Taninul Hot Springs
Visit the most important archaeological site for the Huaxteca culture: Tamtok. Then, you will rest in the sulfuric waters of Taninul, inside the protected zone located on the Sierra Abra Tanchipa.
Day 6 – Appreciate the Natural Beauty of the Mantetzulel Caves
Travel to an amazing area, well-known for its clear waters, wonderful rock formations, and variety of beautiful birds. Later, you will visit the caves of Mantetzulel, where the Holy Spirit and Rayo del Sol are located. Enjoy the stunning views and the sunset at this unique place!
