The Sima de las Cotorras is a spectacular, massive sinkhole in the El Ocote UNESCO Biosphere Reserve caused by tectonic processes and erosive limestone. Thousands of neon green parakeets live in the walls of the sinkhole, and vines and thick vegetation hang down from above.
On this full-day Ocote Reserve adventure, rappel (abseil) down the Sima de las Cotorras and explore the awesome subterranean world below.
