Visit various attractions within the Haciendas Pulqueras in Mexico! To cap off the tour, sow the Maguey plant needed to make the famous Pulque drink.
Have you tried the Pulque in Mexico? This is a Mexican alcoholic drink made by fermenting sap from the maguey plant. Join us on a half-day tour to see the Haciendas Pulqueras, which produce the ingredients necessary to make the Pulque, and which was once the pride of Mexico in the 19th century.
Haciendas Pulqueras faced a big boom in production in the 19th century, thanks to the huge demand of Pulque at that time. This strong demand led to buildings in these haciendas reflect strong characteristics of the Pulque – and the Teotihuacán Valley was no exception, with Xala, San Miguel Ometusco and San Antonio Ometusco being some of them.
On this tour, you will visit various attractions related to the haciendas – these include the Acolman Convent, the Piñatas factory, the former convent of Oxtotipac, the Ferrocarril Museum, the town of Otumba as well as the Hacienda of San Antonio Ometusco.
