Discover the Amazing Birds and Wildlife of Holbox Island
Holbox Island is also known as Little Bird Island because of its abundant and diverse bird species. You can see aquatic birds such as flamingos, egrets, herons, cormorants, pelicans, and terns. There are also quite a few crocodiles! Board our boat to discover this fascinating island and its exotic wildlife. From May to September, you could also spot whale sharks as they migrate to the area to feed on plankton.

Duration: Full Day (10 hours) Start and end location: Cancun, Playa del Carmen, or Tulum Availability: Year-round
8:00 am – You will be picked up at your hotel in Cancun (7:00 am in Playa del Carmen, 6:00 am in Tulum)
10:30 am – Arrive to Chiquila, a coastal town to the northwest of Cancun. Then, take a boat through the Yalahau Coastal Lagoon to Holbox Island (Little Bird Island). Enjoy the gorgeous natural environment and learn from your certified guide about the area’s ecosystems and aquatic birds.
13:00 pm – Leave Holbox Island by boat to return to shore.
14:00 pm – Enjoy a lovely lunch at a seaside restaurant.
15:00 pm – Begin the return transportation to your hotel in Cancun, Playa del Carmen or Tulum.
17:30 pm – Arrive to your hotel in Cancun (18:30 pm in Playa del Carmen, 19:30 pm in Tulum).
