Learn all about how Guano palm and Guayaberas (summer shirts of the Yucatán tribe) are made on this full day tour of Ticul, Tekit and Maní.
How well do you know of handcrafts of the ancient Mayan tribe? Join us on this tour, as you depart from the city of Mérida towards the municipal of Ticul to gain a better understanding of traditional practices of guano palm production and its uses. What’s more, you will also get an opportunity to learn about the embroidery and cross stitch of “guayaberas” (Yucatán summer shirts) in another nearby municipal named Tekit. Continuing on in the legendary town of Maní, you will then taste the famous “Poc-Chuch” – grilled meat prepared in citrus marinade and served with a side of rice, pickled onion, refried beans, and avocado – and a signature dish of the Yucatán tribe.
End off this full-day trip with a refreshing swim in the beautiful cenote Noh-Mozón.
