Despite their intimidating name, whale sharks are harmless to humans and feed on plankton and other small fish. These endangered species can grow up to 40 feet long (12 meters) and weigh up to 47,000 pounds (21,300 kilograms)! Your expert marina mammal guides will introduce you to the wild whale sharks, and teach you about these magnificent creatures.
After snorkeling with whale sharks, head back to shore for an afternoon in La Paz. Enjoy a Baja-style lunch on the boardwalk, visit the La Paz whale museum, and get the chance to explore the city on your own!

Begin your day at 7:00 am with hotel pick-up in Cabo and transfer to La Paz. Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned van across the seaside desert landscape to arrive in the quiet, off-the-beaten-path city of La Paz.
Upon arrival, you’ll get you outfitted with wetsuits and snorkeling gear for the swim of a lifetime. A local boat captain will take you just off shore to where the whale sharks gather.
As you travel across the Sea of Cortez, keep a look out for other outstanding sea life, such as whales, rays, and dolphins. Upon arrival to your underwater destination — jump in! From up-close, you’ll be able to observe the whale sharks’ size, feeding techniques, and grace as you swim beside them in the clear ocean waters. This outstanding experience is one you’ll never forget.
After your swim with the whale sharks, you’ll return to La Paz where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the boardwalk and indulge in a local “Baja-style” lunch of tacos and ice cold drinks. Return to Los Cabos in the afternoon.
