Day 1: Travel from San Miguel to Taxco
Arrive at the St. Paul’s Church in San Miguel by 6:45 for your 7:00 departure to Taxco. Enjoy breakfast and lunch on the bus and arrive in Taxco by the early afternoon. After you check into your hotel and unpack, you’ll have free time to explore the main square and nearby silver shops. Meet in the hotel lobby for dinner*.
Day 2: Visit Grutas de Cacahuamilpa National Park
Enjoy early breakfast at the hotel, then set out for Grutas de Cacahuamilpa National Park for a morning of birdwatching and hiking Around midday, return to Taxco for lunch* at the restaurant of your preference. In the afternoon, you’ll have time to wander, shop, and take photos. At 16:45 pm, you’ll leave for dinner and to meet the prize-winning silversmiths of Taxco.
Day 3: Take a Private Cave Tour & Explore the Spratling Museum
Have 7:00 breakfast at hotel, then leave for a private tour of the caves at Grutas de Cacahuamilpa National Park. You’ll return to the hotel for lunch, then head to the Spratling Museum in the afternoon. That afternoon we will visit the Spratling Museum and recommended silver shops Meet for dinner* in hotel lobby.
Day 4: Explore the Saturday Silver Market & Tour the Spratling Ranch
Enjoy 8:30 am breakfast at hotel, then visit the Saturday Silver Market to wander the shops. Meet for lunch at the hotel then head to the Spratling Ranch in the afternoon. You’ll return to Taxco in the evening for cocktails and a private dinner*.
Day 5: Say Goodbye to Taxco
Your Taxco multi-day tour is coming to a close! Have one last breakfast at the hotel, then check out by 9:00 am. You’ll stop at the town of Metepec for lunch and to visit the Tree of Life Master Artisan’s Workshop and Market where you’ll have a chance to see an artisan at work and buy authentic silver goods directly from the artist’s studio.
From Metepec, continue on to San Miguel de Allende. You should arrive by 20:00 pm.
