Begin your Tulum cenote tour with 7:00 am hotel pick-up in Tulum and transfer to the local travel office. There, you’ll be outfitted with your bike, and set out along back roads to reach your first cenote of the day: Calavera. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to dive into the open, crystal clear water of the cenote. With spectacularly pure water and vines hanging from overhead, Calavera feels like a living fairy tale.
From Calavera onward to the Grand Cenote. The aptly named cenote is comprised of complex caverns, an underground river, open-air swimming holes, and resident wild turtles. Grand Cenote is known for its spectacular snorkeling, which you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy before crowds arrive later in the afternoon.
From Grand Cenote, you’ll hike along a 2.5 mile (4 kilometers) trail further into Tulum’s jungles. Here, you’ll leave the roads and crowds behind you to encounter abundant flora and fauna, and the off-the-beaten-path Cenote Cristal. Surrounded by lush vegetation, relax, swim, and eat a picnic lunch as you enjoy the sights and sounds of the jungle. End your Tulum cenote tour with transportation back to your hotel.
