Discover Mayan Ruins & Natural Wonder on this Yucatan Peninsula Multi-Day Tour

On this 8-day tour of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, embrace the natural beauty, remarkable Mayan history, and friendly people of the Peninsula’s northwestern region. Explore Yucatan from its countryside to its bustling capital city of Merida.

In the Yucatan’s rural countryside, explore the iconic ruins at Chichen Itza, Uxmal, and Puuc. Go birdwatching or hiking each morning in the jungles surrounding your lodges. Spend an afternoon birdwatching around the archaeological sites with expert naturalists and jump in to turquoise swimming holes at Ik-Kil. Eat outstanding local cuisine each day.

Then, head to the Yucatan’s capital city of Merida — home to museums, art galleries, restaurants, shops, and boutiques. Once the major Mayan city called T’ho — “City of Five Hills” — Merida was taken and destroyed by Spanish conquistadors in 1542. In fact, the colonial cathedral is built from the ruins of a great pyramid destroyed in the conquest.

Merida is filled with fascinating, difficult, and ongoing history, but it maintains a strong Mayan influence and locals are welcoming and proud of their heritage. Head to the outstanding new Gran Museo de la Cultura Maya for an in-depth look at the outstanding Mesoamerican civilization.

On this Yucatan Peninsula multi-day tour, fall in love with the spectacular peninsula — it’s history, culture, nature, food, and hospitality.
