This 2 Day package provides the opportunity to see the complete culture of the Membrillo community. Here you will find traditional music, dance, dress and food. The community also boasts a traditional sugar cane mill, a variety of artisan work, and the only soapstone mine in Panama. We’ll walk you through the entire process of making soap stone crafts, and you will have the opportunity to make a craft of your own.
Additionally, this rural community is located in the beautiful mountains of Coclé, offering a large diversity of flora and fauna that will be seen during your hikes through the trails.
These tours are available year-round. However, tourists that come between June and November should be prepared for rain and for moderate mud.
Tours must be booked at least one week in advance – which is why the calendar isn’t letting you book for sooner. Send us an email if you want to come in the next few days and we can contact the community and see if they can make it happen.
