Description

Located in La Amistad National Park right by the Costa Rican border, the Naso combine modern and traditional rural lifestyles in one of Panama’s most beautiful jungles. Several members of the community work together to receive travelers and show them the wonders of the surrounding jungle, as well as how the Naso live now, and how they lived before. Travelers can tour the community for the day, hike the nearby trails, or stay the night in the community or in the jungle.

Tours

  • Day hike in La Amistad National Park: $60
  • Day hike in La Amistad National Park with local guide and roundtrip transport: $95
  • Travel by boat down the Rio Teribe and visit various Naso communities: $120

Lodging and Food

  • The community has cabaña-style homes designated for receiving guests, which cost $25 per night
  • You can also camp in the jungle for $125 per night, which includes a guide and food
  • The community can provide meals for $20 per day

Transport from Almirante

  • A community guide can pick you up in Almirante for $40, they just need to know the date ahead of time
