Embark on this vessel tour with a local guide to experience the full transit of Panama Canal.
On this tour you will discover the beauty of the Panama Canal from the point of view upon a vessel and your guide will explain to you about the history behind the canal.
Your vessel will depart from the Flamenco Marina at the end of the beautiful Amador Coast way at 7am and from there you will experience the transit of vessels in the canal and travel from the Pacific side of the Ocean to the Atlantic all on the same day!
On this tour you will start by visiting the Miraflores Lock and then moving onto the Pedro Miguel Locks.
After exiting the Pedro Miguel Locks, you will be taken to the point where the Chagres River flows into the canal, also known as the Culebra or Gaillard cut. This cut is one of the main attractions for visitors as it is carved through the continental divide and this section of the canal is full of history.
Afterwards, you will enjoy a trip through the famous Lake Gatun.
During your transit through the Gatun Lake you will pass through the Research Station of Barro Colorado and experience the Gatun Locks which is the only one in the Atlantic Sector.
You will be returned to Panama City around 8pm.
The vessel you will be on will be the Pacific Queen vessel and all travelers must check in at 7am. Depart from Flamenco Resort Marina.
