Experience one of the best ways to discover the canal. You will ride along in a vessel and during your transit you will have the opportunity to see the Panama Canal up close.
You will start in Coastway Amador and see the beautiful scenery that you can only see in this area.
Afterwards watch as the ships pass through the locks and experience the thrill of ships passing through the canal as you learn about the Panama Canal. Your guide will take you through the Gailard cut, the Miraflores locks and the Miguel locks.
Duration: 6 hours
This tour will last for a duration of 4 to 5 hours and will start at the operating pier of Coastway Amador.
All travelers will board the motor coaches for a 45 minute drive down to the town of Gamboa where the Panama Canal divide is located.
You will enter the canal at the northern end of the Gailard cut where the famous Chagres River flows into the canal.
After entering the Gailard cut you will reach the Pedro Miguel locks and view the Continental Bridge which crosses over the canal and watch the vessels enter through the Miguel locks. After the Miguel locks your guide will take you to the Miraflores locks and watch in awe at the vessels passing through.
After watching the ships pass through the locks you will then journey towards the beautiful islands of the Coastway Amador where many passengers on these boats disembark.
