Ever wanted to experience living on the edge of a crater? Eat, hike, shop, and explore your way through a small village perched on a volcano.
El Valle de Anton in Panama is the only inhabited volcano crater in the world! This charming town is 600 meters above sea level, and with a pleasant mountain climate, it’s springtime all year round. If you love nature, there are many things to do in and around the town, such as visit waterfalls, soak in hot springs, swing on hanging bridges, visit the local zoo, shop at the local craft market, have a gourmet lunch in town, and hike stunning trails in the surrounding nature.
This all-inclusive tour to Valle de Anton is a great way to combine the tropical sunshine and beaches of Panama with the eco-tourism and relaxing experience of being surrounded by nature on the crater of a dormant volcano.

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning. Valle de Anton is 2 hours away. Once in the village, you will visit the volcanic hot springs. Though the volcano has been dormant for around five million years, the mineralized volcanic hot springs are a sure sign of volcanic activity below the surface. Get a facial with volcanic clay and relax in the pools made from underground springs.
Next up is El Nispero Zoo, a small park where you can interact with local birds and animals typical of Panama and Central America. Lunch will be at the best restaurant in town, resembling a grand Tuscan villa. After a wonderful gourmet lunch that includes a main course, dessert, and beverage, we walk into the jungle to see the beautiful waterfall of Chorro El Macho.
Last up is a typical Panamanian craft market, where you can explore all the colorful products made by locals. After a day of relaxation, fresh air, and good food, we head back to Panama City, arriving at the hotel after 18:00 pm.
After you book your experience, you will receive a confirmation email from us confirming that your payment went through. You will then be connected directly to the tour operator, in case you have any further questions.
