Day 1: Hike and Ride into the Lares Mountains
Begin your trek with 5:30 am hotel pick-up in Cuscoand transfer to the stables at Lares. Stop along the way for breakfast, and arrive at the stables by mid-morning. Today, you’ll ride for 5.5 hours along spectacular ridges, stopping for lunch and a rest at a mountain lake called Ipsaycchocha. Pass plenty of llamas and alpacas along the way.
You’ll arrive at your campsite by 17:00 pm, and have time to relax and enjoy dinner. In the dry season, enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding mountainsides.
Day 2: Ride to the Famous Chachapata Kunkany Hot Spring
Wake up at 5:30 am for a hearty breakfast, then set out for a 6-hour ride along gentle slopes. Pass by several scenic lakes, and plenty of llama and alpaca. Stop for lunch at mid-day.
Arrive to the famous Chachapata Kunkany Hot Springs in the evening and soak in the warm, mineral-rich baths for a well-earned relaxation. At night, your team will set up camp along the hot springs
Day 3: Take a Scenic Train to Aguas Calientes
After a delicious breakfast at camp, say goodbye to the working team and horses and set out via private transfer to the scenic town of Ollantaytambo. From here, enjoy a scenic 2-hour train ride through the Inca Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes town. Upon arrival, check-in to your well-deserved hotel room for the night.
Day 4: Discover Machu PicchuWa
Wake up at 4:30 am and enjoy an early-morning breakfast at the hotel. Take the 5:30 am train ride to Machu Picchu (~30 minutes) to beat the crowds to Machu Picchu.
Today, enjoy a private guided tour of this spectacular and magical world wonder. Explore and discover the Inca citadel, then take the bus back to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon to begin your return trip. Take the train to Ollantaytambo, and from there, catch the bus to Cusco. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel.
