Great short hike through Singrenacocha & Ausangate Mountain:  On the way to  the final destination of Ausangate Mountain, you will visit several communities to get a feel for the local way of life. You will also get the chance to see many beautiful lakes, including the impressive Singrenacocha Lagoon.


4 Days/3 Nights


Day 1: Cusco / Mallma / Singrenacocha Lagoon

You will be picked up from your hotel at 7:00 am and driven to Mallma, just southeast of Cusco. Upon arrival in Mallma, you will head out on a 3 hour trek surrounded by the stunning view of the Callangate Mountain. During the walk, you will take in the beautiful natural scenery of the high Andean plateaus. You will camp for the night at a place called the Singrenacocha Lagoon.

Day 2: Singrenacocha / Pallccapampa

After breakfast, you’ll be graced with a gorgeous sunrise over the Cordillera Vilcanota with the scenery of glaciers, lagoons etc. around us. Despite the high altitude of the Andes, some flowers and plants still flourish, such as the Andean Cactus. Wildlife such as Camelids, Chinchillins, the Condor and the Puma live here as well. Later, you’ll hike up to the Huayna Ausangate Pass on the way to the Pallccapampa Valley where you will camp for the night.

Day 3: Pallccapampa / Pacchanta

After breakfast, the sunrise will provide the perfect backdrop for your walk to the Acoyconca Pass. Here you will have a magnificent view of the colorful Callangate and Ausangate glaciers as well as of the villages in the valley. Afterwards, you will head down to the community of Pacchanta  to enjoy the thermal waters. You’ll spend the night near the hot spring.

Day 4: Pacchanta / Tinqui / Cusco

After breakfast, you will head to Pacchanta to start the 3 hour walk back to Tinqui. During the walk, you will see the local farming culture in the Cinaqara glacier area. Private transportation will take you back to the city of Cusco. You should arrive there around 5:00 pm.
