Cordillera Huayhuash is a mountain range within the Andes in Peru, stretching from north to south. The main part consists of about 20 peaks within only about 16 miles (25 km), including the second highest Peruvian peak Yerupaja and Siula Grande, made famous thanks to Joe Simpson’s book “Touching the Void.” Join us on a 7 days 6 nights Huayhuash trekking trip, ending at the beautiful town of Churin and taking in the spectacular views as you go.
The Huayhuash trekking route is known as one of the most beautiful treks in the world. Due to high altitude passes, it is not an easy trek (the difficulty level of this trek is set at “Moderate”), but the spectacular views over the surrounding mountains, turquoise blue lakes, and impressive landscapes will make your efforts totally worth it.
It is recommended that travelers who embark on this Huayhuash trekking tour have done at least a 1-day acclimatization hike prior.
