The Humantay Lake tour forms part of the route for visitors to Cusco. Located in the Mollepata district, the lake is situated 28 kilometers away from the town center of Mollepata. This tour will bring you on a walk of peace and tranquility, allowing you to see the majestic Salkantay and Humantay mountains on the way, eventually reaching the lagoon that is visited by shamans and tourists from all over the world to leave offerings for the Pachamama, the deity that represents Mother Earth in the Incan culture.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at 04:10 am, to start your day of adventure in the direction of the Humantay lake. In the next 2 hours you will arrive at the town of Mollepata, where both breakfast and lunch of the day are scheduled. Once you finish breakfast, you will resume the route for another hour to the Soraypampa area, and after a short break, you will begin with approximately 2 hours of ascending hike. Upon reaching your destination, there will be an approximately 40 minutes of free time.

After that, you start your return to the town of Mollepata and will reach there by 15:30 pm, taking your lunch there. Ending your tour, you will be returned to Cusco – arrival is scheduled between 17:00 pm and 18:00 pm.
